IEWG’s Activities at a Glance

Initiatives of IE Working Group
As per the ToR of IEWG, ACIE performs secretariat role. ACIE is recognized and acknowledged as the technical support provider in the working group. Like other member organizations, ACIE is able to contribute technically or financially in organizing any initiative or event. From year establishment ACIE has been organizing policy dialogue sessions, Seminar and Conference, training activities and research projects.

National Seminar on ‘Gender, Equity and Inclusion in New Curriculum’ 2023:

As continuation of this effort, ACIE has organized a 1 day National Seminar titled “Gender, Equity and Inclusion in New Curriculum” on February 11, 2023. The seminar was held at the Institute of Education and Research (IER) in Dhaka University on Saturday. The seminar was organized by the Asian Center for Inclusive Education (ACIE), Bangladesh and co-hosted by Plan International Bangladesh and Visually Impaired People’s Society (VIPS).

International Conference on Equity and Inclusion in Education 2013-2022: 
With the organizing and financial support of IEWG’s members, Asian Centre for Inclusive Education (ACIE), Bangladesh has been organizing International Conference on Equity and Inclusion in Education as a part of regular regional and international network collaboration activities. From year establishment ACIE has organized International Conference on Inclusive Education for six times, four in Bangladesh and two in India. The aim of the conference is to get an opportunity to share and disseminate ideas, research findings, academic and field-level experiences on Inclusive Education from the developing country experiences with a view to developing a recommendation guideline for the redefining education in the context of 21 century.
